The head of UNESCO supported the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to hold an international forum in Khiva

Audrey Azoulay supported the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to hold an international forum "Central Asia at the crossroads of world civilizations" in Khiva in 2021. UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay said on her Twitter page: “I welcome the initiative of President Mirziyoyev to hold an international cultural forum on Central Asia in Khiva in 2021”. During his speech at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward a number of initiatives, including the holding, in cooperation with UNESCO, in 2021 in the ancient city of Khiva of the International Forum “Central Asia at the Crossroads of World Civilizations”.
